BTS V (Kim Taehyung) graces Vogue Japan's special digital cover for 'Vogue World 2025: Hollywood'

On October 26, Vogue Japan unveiled Taehyung’s first-ever digital cover in celebration of the upcoming Vogue World: Hollywood 2025 event, set to take place in Los Angeles on the same day. The event will honour the dynamic relationship between cinema and fashion, paying homage to legendary figures in film history.

For his cover concept, Taehyung channels the spirit of James Dean, the timeless emblem of 1950s youth rebellion and effortless “bad boy” allure.

“Inspired by Hollywood’s eternal icon, James Dean… presenting a new portrait of V that merges the essence of classic cinema with a modern edge,” — Vogue Japan.


 In the accompanying vintage-inspired video, Taehyung dons a brown leather CELINE jacket and denim, evoking Dean’s iconic aesthetic. The video captures him in cinematic moments — astride a motorcycle and filming with a vintage video camera — embodying a contemporary reinterpretation of Dean’s rebellious magnetism.

“With his distinctive deep voice, nuanced expressiveness, subtle facial gestures, and undeniable presence, V captures both the grandeur of the stage and the intimacy of everyday life,” — Vogue Japan.

In his interview, Vogue Japan highlights Taehyung’s expanding artistry and evolving identity. When asked about his greatest strength, he shared that he “still enjoys being photographed,” a sentiment that perfectly complements the James Dean-inspired theme, reflecting his free-spirited and natural charm.

The feature also reveals that Taehyung often draws creative inspiration from films, incorporating cinematic concepts into his performances. Additionally, he expresses his artistic side through his passion for unfiltered, unprocessed photography, showcasing his appreciation for raw and authentic beauty.
