As the world continues to mourn the untimely passing of model and TV personality Kim Jong Suk, his grieving family has spoken out—pleading for compassion and truth amidst a flood of online speculation.

On June 6, Kim's older sister took to social media with a heartfelt and urgent message:

“We are in the middle of funeral preparations, overwhelmed and heartbroken. But I’m seeing so many baseless and false claims spreading across online communities.”

Initially, the family remained silent, hoping to honor Kim’s memory in peace. But now, the hurtful rumors have spiraled beyond control.

“It has gone too far,” she wrote, revealing their intent to involve the cyber investigation unit to pursue legal action against defamatory posts and misinformation. Some media outlets, she said, had also reported inaccuracies.
 “I’ve requested the removal of these articles. We will soon release a summary of the police recording and a statement from the friend who was with him at the time,” she added.

The family’s decision to gather evidence and take a stand against malicious narratives reflects a deep need to protect Kim’s legacy and dignity in his final moments.

News of Kim Jong Suk’s sudden passing broke when a close friend shared an emotional tribute:

“It’s hard to believe I’ll never see your smiling face again. Every warm word we exchanged, every moment we spent together, was a blessing.”

Another acquaintance posted a condolence wreath with a message that echoed the same disbelief:

“I still can’t believe it. I hope you’ve found peace where you are.”

Kim Jong Suk began his career in 2014 as a model for an online shopping platform and steadily rose in the spotlight through social media, later becoming the face of multiple men’s beauty brands. He had recently started exploring acting, gradually expanding his role in the entertainment industry.

His funeral took place on the morning of June 6, with a burial held at Yanggu Memorial Park, following services at the Chuncheon Rest Center.
