Kim Soo-hyun Cleared: Whistleblower’s Attack Story and Audio Leak Exposed as Fake

A recent scandal attempting to drag actor Kim Soo-Hyun into controversy has completely fallen apart, with multiple sources now confirming the story was entirely fabricated.

It began when a so-called “whistleblower” claimed he was stabbed in New Jersey by two men after leaking an alleged audio recording involving the late Kim Sae Ron. He even went as far as to say the FBI was investigating and that Kim Soo-Hyun was involved in orchestrating the attack.


But on May 19, the Korean Consulate General in New York officially debunked the story. According to the consulate, no Korean nationals have been arrested or detained, and no case exists with U.S. authorities. The FBI also confirmed they have no record or involvement in such an incident.

Even more suspicious, the whistle-blower changed his story shortly after the initial claim. Instead of being stabbed in the neck, he later said he had a cut on his arm. A medical report showed only shoulder and hand injuries — nothing matching his original dramatic claims.

Meanwhile, veteran journalist Lee Jin Ho presented a forensic analysis showing the leaked audio was AI-generated, not real. He further revealed that the whistle-blower tried to extort money from Kim Soo-Hyun's team, which immediately dismissed the fake evidence.
